What is Modafinil?

In the world of pharmacology, Modafinil is regarded as a neuro-enhancing or neurogenic drug. It is often used in the treatment and management of sleep disorders like shift-work disorder, sleep apnea, narcolepsy, excessive daytime sleepiness, and an inability to focus or concentrate. A recommended dose of Modafinil is usually advised to be taken once a day, any exception should be under the direction of a medical professional. It has a half-life of 12 to 15 hours and should not be taken long term.

As a result of its effects and benefits, Modafinil is often used off-label as a cognitive enhancer. Its Nootropic qualities are perhaps what makes this drug even more popular. 

Benefits of Modafinil 

Modafinil is regarded as a drug with high availability. Over 85% of participants reported the ease of buying Modafinil online without any prescription. Some beneficial effects of this drug include:

• Improved cognitive function and mental faculties.
• This drug is capable of keeping you awake for up to 12 hours.
• Improved retentive memory. This includes work and episodic memory. 
• Boosted attention span and ability to focus.
• Increased output and productivity level.
• Reduced fatigue sensation. 

Study findings 

A 3-month study including 514 participants has brought about some interesting findings. The participants were shared into groups and were given Modafinil in different ways. Modafinil was given to 47% of the participants as an “off prescription drug”. These participants noted a few beneficial effects of the drug. They noted; 

• Improved productivity.
• Improved ability to focus and retain information.
• Reduced procrastination.
• Ability to last longer without being physically exhausted. 
• Better schedule planning and decision-making processes.

83% of the total participants preferred the generic Modafinil as opposed to the more expensive brand labeled Provigil. Some of the generic forms of Modafinil include Modvigil, Modalert, Artvigil, and Waklert.

Of the total number of participants, 77% revealed they prefer buying Modafinil in bulk. The most common size was listed as 100 tablets despite the presence of other sizes like 10, 20, 30, 50, and so on. 

91% of the total participants preferred to purchase the Modafinil drug from online vendors as it is significantly cheaper. 

Some side effects of Modafinil 

Many users of this drug can attest to its ability to maintain mental alertness. And so, this drug may negatively interact with other medications that might be taken alongside. As a result of this, several medical conditions may become exacerbated or worsened as a result of Modafinil. Also, Modafinil has been known to cause allergic reactions in some patients. Some of these reactions include; elevated blood pressure, chest pain, weakness, etc. 9% of the total participants recorded negative side effects as a direct cause of this drug. Generally, most patients experience any one or a combination of the following side effects:

• Lumbago (pain in lower back)
• Sleeplessness
• Dry mouth
• Dehydration 
• Upset stomach

Are there any downsides to purchasing Modafinil online?

Many participants reported a slight difficulty in getting credible pharmaceutical vendors online to purchase the drug. About 85% of the participants revealed they could not get a prescription for the drug. Most online vendors sell pills with about 100mg or 200mg of the main ingredients. Overall, purchasing Modafinil online is safe, and does not pose any foreseeable danger.
