In today’s life, it is often mental stress that accounts for inadequate, distorted or poor quality of sleep. This is why most of us find it difficult to get up and plan our mornings in a hassle free manner. Many of us, in fact sneak into our blankets for longer time after hearing the alarm and also we find that time passes faster when we think for sleeping for yet another 5 minutes.
The modern life has made buying and using smartphones so easier that the first thing we want to see in the morning is our phone and view social networking site updates or start chatting with people right under the blanket. And some people find it irritating to wake up to spend another stressful day and therefore, they prefer to remain quiet for the time till their mind gets ready to bear another day. Some people even don’t want others to talk with them for some time till their mind comes out of the sleep zone and becomes focused.
Albeit most people find it difficult to move themselves out of bed, everyone has a morning schedule that they follow ritually without missing the order of tasks. You may start your day by freshening up in the bathroom or getting your kids or other family members ready for school and office respectively or cleaning the house. The morning time is one of the busiest couple of hours that requires you to be engaged constantly with streamlined tasks. In fact, this hectic routine sometimes adds to the stress and makes you feel tired in the morning itself.
But there are only few people who don’t want to live the conventional way. They want some change in their way of starting the day as they are aware that the mood set during the morning hours influence the whole day. It requires a change in the attitude and thought process and then you will find yourself perked up to face a new day with a new enthusiasm. If you agree with this, then read these 6 ways to kick start your day positively and bring a difference in the way you perceive things:-
-
Play With Your Imagination
It is all in your mind. Your mood set during the morning hours predicts how your day will be. You may find it illogical or even immature to sit and anticipate that you will have a great day ahead when you actually are getting frustrated thinking about your hectic routine with innumerable unresolved issues. Consider that all factors are constant and opt this way of imagining that this is the best ever morning and the best ever day too as thinking like this won’t cost you a penny nor extra time and effort!
Sit in a calm place and say to yourself that today is a new start and everything will just be perfect. Instead of demoralising yourself about the problems and monotonous routine, say to yourself that you will be focused enough to keep your mind and work sorted. If this won’t help in reducing your problems, at least this kind of self-motivation will instil a positive attitude in you and will give you keep you in good mood all day long.
-
Start Your Day Earlier
It cannot be denied that you too have lots of tasks lined up in the morning that waking up late can scare you like hell. But all the helter and skelter is because of poor planning. You cannot just wake up with margin time required by you to finish your morning work. To keep your mind cool, start early. Make a ritual of sleeping and waking up at a scheduled time. Waking up earlier will allow you to give some time to relax and condition your mind and body for rigorous schedule. Try to wake early and then move out of your bed and sit in a chair and relax while breathing deeply.
Try to avoid over thinking about any topic so that your mind doesn’t lose the calmness it felt while sleeping. Pick any book and read few pages or practise meditation or exercise for 15 minutes. These 15 minutes will empower you and your mind, to tackle a new day and its challenges with a new zeal. These 15 minutes should be spared by you to de-stress yourself to the core. Follow this procedure for 5 days in a row with complete dedication and you will surely feel the difference in your attitude and thought process.

Express Gratitude For All That You Have
Your morning gets ruined when you think of your failures and incompetence in managing either your personal or professional life or both. It has been studied and proved that our psychology requires a positive push in the morning when the air is fresh and the sun has shone its mild light as it triggers the good mood hormones. One of the best way to stimulate the positive hormonal activity is by giving yourself a feeling of contentment. Make a practice of counting your blessings and being thankful for all that you have been endowed with. No doubt that you are experiencing frequent ups and downs in life but living life that is full of liveliness should be your prime motto.
Spare few minutes in the morning and think about your family, children, your ability to earn bread for your family and how fortunate you are that you don’t have to beg in front of anyone for basic necessities. Be grateful for all that you have and stop comparing yourself to others. In fact, if you start comparing yourself to your friends or colleagues who are richer than you, then you are actually spoiling the moments of your life that can make you rich in terms of happiness. Don’t forget to teach your children to count their blessings as such practise when taught in childhood can transform their outlook towards life and instead of chasing after money, your children will prefer chasing happiness.
