There are approximately 200 countries in the world and each one of them has some flavor of their own. These flavors are better known or understood through the type of festival and celebration that follows. We live in the Asian continent and that’s why today you would get to know about some of the major Asian festivals.

The gifts and annual celebration honor the lasting friendship between the United States and Japan and the continued close relationship between the two countries.

This is the best festival of Thailand and is better known as the world’s biggest water fight. This is actually the New Year for the Thai people. The mornings begins with merit-making followed by visiting local temples and offering food to the Buddhist monks. Then there is water pouring on Buddha statues is done which is considered an iconic ritual for this holiday. It represents purification and the washing away one’s sins and bad luck

3. Naadam Festival

This belongs to Mongolia. It is a melee of tradition, highlighting the country’s national sports: wrestling, horse riding, and archery, this is when the nomads return to roost. Also look out for the ankle bone shooting, and various parades.

4. Rakhi

This is the festival which glorifies the bond between a brother and a sister in India. Sister ties a thread on her brother’s wrist as a token of her love and prays for his longevity. People can now get rakhi to USA using any online gift portal. Distance also cannot kill the relationship between a brother-sister duos. In fact this brother and sister would go to nay extent to be with each other on this auspicious day. 5. Mud Festival

This is a famous festival of Boryeong, South Korea. It can be termed as mud mania, with plenty of mud wrestling, mud sliding and even swimming in the mud mega tub. The first Mud Festival was staged in 1998 and, by 2007, the festival attracted 2.2 million visitors to Boryeong. The big secret is that the mud is considered rich in minerals and used to manufacture cosmetics and this festival was originally conceived as a marketing trick for Boryeong mud cosmetics.
