Under Graduate
Delhi University offers admission for UG and PG courses in various fields of study. The admission process for different degree programs is separate.
The UG admission to Delhi University is based solely on merit. The application process is conducted online and begins at the end of May. It commences after the declaration of the 12 standard results by CBSE Board and after submission of applications the university provides the various cutoff scores. For courses such as MBBS and BBM, there are different admission exams.
The cutoff scores present the minimum marks required for admission to each college in a specific stream. There may be multiple cutoff lists till all seats are taken up.
Post Graduate
Admission to PG courses is based on entrance examinations and academic performance in UG. Each department conducts its test, and the examinations are usually held in the North Delhi campus.

Delhi University Library System is an aggregate of 34 libraries that offer access to a vast number of books, periodicals, and academic journals. The library provides access to 29 Electronic Databases with comprehensive information about almost any subject.
Placement Cell
Placements at Delhi University vary from one institution to another. Top graduates of SRCC and DSE can secure high paying jobs, but that does not reflect across all the colleges. St. Stephens College, Ladt Shriram College, and Miranda House are also able to provide satisfactory placement to its students.
DU also has a Central Placement Cell that assists students of lesser-known colleges which are not visited by reputed companies to share the curriculum vitae with corporates.
Outlook
Delhi University is undoubtedly one of the top institutes in the country. In the past, its faculty has included illustrious names such as Dr. Manmohan Singh and Nobel laureate Amartya Sen. Funded to a considerable extent by the Central Government it has access to resources that almost no university in India has and will doubtless remain one of the top centers for academics in India.
