In the endeavour to fulfil its mission of creating Digital India, Reliance India, one of the pioneering telecom service providers had recently launched Reliance Jio free 4G SIM cards that came with a Welcome Offer of free 4G data usage for three months. However, the company has reportedly extended this offer till March 2017. Reliance Jio is taking leaps to conquer the telecom industry by providing the cheapest ever mobile plans and is mulling to launch the fiber backed Reliance Jio DTH on 15th December this year, which has already created stir in the market as being the cheapest ever DTH service with amazing features.
However, the most anticipated service from Reliance Jio is its GigaFiber broadband, which will be launched in a few months to come. The company has announced that Reliance Jio GigaFiber broadband will be offering 600 GB of data at a mere Rs. 500 with 15 Mbps of broadband speeds. Mumbai, Pune and Chennai have been currently the chosen cities where Reliance Jio will be piloting the FTTH (Fiber To The Home) services and has plans to expand its network footprints across top 100 cities in the country.
Several reports suggest that similar to Jio 4G free data service, Reliance Jio GigaFiber broadband service will be initially launched with a Welcome Offer, where no charges will be levied on usage for up to 90 days. Customers will have to pay the one-time charge for the GigaFiber router which is estimated to be priced between Rs. 4000 and Rs. 6000.
