For normal bee stings which don’t cause any allergic reaction, experts say that the home bee-sting medical care is enough. But before you use any of the natural wasp or bee sting remedies, make sure you follow the below mentioned Poison Controlling advises:

  • Remove a stinger: The very first you should do when you got stung by a bee is to determine if a singer’s still present or not in the skin. If yes, then scrape the stinger out. Don’t use fingers or tweezers to pull a stinger out.
  • Sanitize the affected area: Once you pull out the stinger, cleanse the affected area well with water and soap.

If you’d rather go for natural bee-sting medications, then following are the most effective home remedies:

Home Remedies For Bee Stings

  • Honey: What an irony! Yes, honey that comes from bees is used as bee-sting treatment. Honey is great for healing the wounds. Take a small amount of honey, apply it on the sting site and cover it with the small rag or with gauze for 30 to 60 minutes.
  • Ice: This is the simplest yet the most effective remedy. Apply ice on the sting site for 20-30 minutes. The ice will numb your pain and slow down the blood flow in that area, which will reduce the swelling.
  • Crushed Garlic: Surprised? Well, you read it right. Garlic is used to heal the bee sting. Take two or three garlic cloves, crush them to get the juice out of it and press it over the wound. Now, cover that area with a moist towel or rag and let it stay for at least half an hour.
  • Cilantro: surprisingly, cilantro has many benefits. One of the health benefits of cilantro is that it soothes the skin irritations. Cilantro is used both externally and internally as one of the remedies for the skin irritations which include sunburns, poison ivy, and hives.

Take fresh cilantro and blend it with few drops of coconut oil. Apply the mixture topically on hives, poison ivy, and sunburns.

If you wish to have cilantro all year long, then you can grow your cilantro. It’s very easy to grow cilantro at your home. All you have to do it buy some organic seeds from a store or online. Place them in the containers which are 8-10 inches deep.

You can grow other plants also and make an organic garden of your own. You can choose plants which grow all the year round. You can visit websites or watch videos online to get guidance to grow an organic garden.
