NEET Admit Card: What Do the Latest Notifications Say?

As per the latest update from the National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts NEET exam every year, NEET Admit card release date has been recently announced. Earlier the date of release of admit card was 27th March 2020. Due to the outbreak of the pandemic, COVID 19, the date was postponed by NTA.
According to the latest update, the admit card is expected to be released approximately 15 days prior to the NEET examination. The admit card, hence, will be tentatively released in the second week of July. For any latest updates, the candidates can visit the official NTA NEET website (ntaneet.ac.in)
Also, the correction window of NEET 2020 application forms had been reopened, and the last date to make corrections was 31st May 2020. As per the latest announcements by the Union HRD minister, the NEET 2020 exam will be conducted on 26th July 2020.
Latest on NEET Admit Card
As per the latest guidelines, the NEET 2020 admit card will be released online-only, and the candidates can download the admit card by logging in their accounts using their details. Also, it is advisable to re-check the details which are printed in NEET admit card. Is the case of any discrepancies, the candidate should immediately contact the authorities. Also, note that it is mandatory to carry the admit card in the examination hall on the day of examination. The admit card can not be sent through post to the candidates and will only be available online to download.

- Release of NEET Admit Card 2020: 2nd week of July 2020
- NEET 2020 Examination date: 26th July 2020
Procedure for downloading NEET 2020 admit card
One can download the NEET 2020 admit card in the online mode only. The candidates must note the below steps to download the NEET 2020 admit card:
- Visit the official NTA NEET website and click on “NEET admit card 2020”.
- Enter the details: application number, date of birth and security pin
- Click “Submit”
- NEET 2020 admit card of the candidate will appear on the screen
- Check and verify all the details on the admit card
- Download the NEET 2020 admit card and save it.
Details mentioned on NEET 2020 admit card
The details of the candidates which are mentioned on the admit card (mentioned below) will be verified with the ID proof of the candidate (Aadhar card/ Driving licence/ Voter ID) on the day of NEET examination. In case of any discrepancy, the candidate will not be permitted to appear for the examination. Hence, check all the details well in advance if there are any errors and report to authorities, if any.

Following are some important instructions for the candidates which they need to follow:
- Download the NEET 2020 admit card and take a colour printout of the same
- Attach a recent passport size photograph on the admit card in the space provided.
- It should be the same as the photo submitted in the application form
- Admit card should be signed by parent/guardian
Way to retrieve a forgotten registration number: NEET Admit card
Candidates can retrieve the registration number if they forget it. However, the candidates are advised to note and remember the registration number carefully. Below are the steps:
- Visit the official NTA NEET website and click on “Forgot registration number”.
- Enter the following details carefully: Name, Father’s and Mother’s name, category, date of birth and security pin.
- Registration will be displayed after this.
- Copy the registration number and use it for downloading the NEET 2020 admit card.
How to download the NEET admit card if you do not have internet access
The candidates can download the NEET 2020 admit card from a nearby Common Service Center (SCS) if they do not have access to internet or printer. These centres are spread across the country and charge a very nominal fee for the service; There are centres across India in 155 cities including Ladakh. - Filling NEET 2020 application form: Rs 25/-
- Online Fee Payment: 0.5% of the transaction value
- Admit card downloading: Rs 10/-
- Colour Print-out of admit card: Rs 5/- per page
Things to carry on the day of NEET 2020 examination
The candidates are required to carry the following items on the day of the exam:
- NEET 2020 admit card
- Passport size photograph (it must be similar to the one uploaded in the application form earlier)
- A valid photo ID proof (Driving Licence/ Aadhar card/ Passport/ Voter ID card)
Important points to remember: NEET admit card for 2020
The candidates should remember the following points:
- A soft copy of NEET 2020 admit card will be sent on the registered email ID by NTA
- It is mandatory to get the parent/guardian’s signature on the admit card
- Photo ID proof must be carried on the day of examination
- Passport size photo must be carried on the day of examination. This will be affixed on the attendance sheet during the exam.
