Here are the most essential teachings that one can learn from Bhagavad Gita in ascending order.

1. Whatever thoughts big or small, mine and your should be kept aside

We should not think about how big or small we can be and how big or small we can really make things. This is all about being materialistic and engaging people in tensions and greedy activities. It makes one profit inclines, thinking about yours or mine also crave for profit only.

2. Money Mind cannot Meditate

Bhagavad Gita has reflected much about meditation and its importance too. Meditation is considered as extreme helpful for inner peace. However, a person’s mind, that always revolve around making money all the time cannot really concentrate in meditation. When a person’s mind is not at all stable and he or she thinks only about wealth, then meditation would be a failed attempt for such a person.

3. Desires are not constant, they reoccur

Desires are not constant, they come and go, but it’s us who should remain a dispassionate witness, simply viewing and enjoying the show. Everyone has got their own desires but one should not be influenced by them. People sometimes take wrong decisions and indulge in really evil actions because of their desires. So no one should come under the impact of desires.

4. Krishna is Supreme

Krishna is the supreme and ultimate power. He is the origin of all causes. He initiates everything and terminates everything too. He is everywhere. Krishna omnipresent and omnipotent, we are mere puppets controlled by him. He is divine, mystical and boundless.

5. One should devote himself/herself to Lord Krishna

The supreme personality among all gods, Lord Krishna is the ultimate support and power of any human being. Humans may not care for their friends and family or support their friends betraying in our bad times but Krishna is always there for us and will be there always. The person who is familiar with this truth is never going to be in trouble or affected by sadness or grief.

6. Each of our action should be dedicated to Lord Krishna

Whatever and whenever we do in the journey of our lifetime should be dedicated to the Lord Krishna. This will lead us to peace and satisfaction. One should remember Krishna during their actions. This makes us positive and confident.

7. We came empty handed to this world, will be going empty handed too

We came to this world without anything. We have made or developed everything over here, be it money, relations, love, family, friends or respect. We cannot take anything with us when we leave this world. Everything we earned will be left over here. We should not be really concerned about making as much money as possible. We should be content with what we have as everything and should thank Lord Krishna for it as everything would be left over here in this material world.

8. Whatever happened in past was good, whatever is happening in present is good and what will happen future will be good too

We should not remorse over our past or worry about the future as the present is still on process. We should know that God has already outlined everything for us. He will not let anything erroneous happen to us. Whatever happens is for our betterment. We should be optimistic and should not stress our self with these useless regrets of past and future. If things are not favorable sometimes, they surely will get better eventually, like day comes after night. We should have faith and trust in the supreme personality, Lord Krishna.

9. World is perishable, and whoever comes to this world, has to leave one day for sure

This world is mortal. One who takes birth, have to die one day and that is the ultimate truth and inevitable fact of this world. Nothing exists in this world permanently. One has to leave this world, even if he wishes not to. No magic can ever actually help a person to stay forever being immortal. Everyone has their limited life periods. They will be gone after completing them. No matter how great the one is or how powerful one is, all have to die one day.

10. Do your work without any expectation of result

When we work on something for getting fruits or the result from a specific action, we can never be best in it. It also gives us a lot of worries and tensions about the result. We may also feel low if our task or action does not yield good outcomes. Therefore, just doing our work without really thinking or expecting about its result should be our ultimate motive.
