Is Coke Zero Better Than Other Soft Drinks?
When it comes to Coca-Cola beverage products, people incline to be die-hard fans. Most of us know someone at least who can’t go a day without his Diet Coke (two or three). While Diet Coke has been a pioneer of sugar-free soft drink since it was first launched in 1982, it came to lime-light that young adult males pondered from this beverage identifying it as a woman’s drink. The company’s response to that deadlock which came in 2005 in the form of a shiny black can with the release of Coca-Cola Zero.
However, Diet Coke was created with its own different flavor profile but not as a sugar-free version of the original, Coke Zero came to the light aiming to taste just like the “real Coke flavor.” Well, now Coke Zero gives you the real taste of Coca Cola and is free of calories and fat, as compared to the other soft drinks such as Pepsi, Coca Cola, Diet Coke, Thumbs up and many more. The soft drinks except the Coke Zero, has got some calories, fats, added sugars, and the diet coke which has no sugar and calories, but doesn’t tastes so good.

But, here is the Coke Zero having the motto of “real cola taste and zero calories”. Its label distinctly promotes this beverage as a zero calorie cola, but it is not entirely certain that its less calorie content is simply not required to be noted in the nutrition information. Coke Zero’s nutritional content reads 0 calorie, 0 g Fat, 0 g Total Carb, 0 g Protein and 70 mg Sodium. It’s necessary ingredients are carbonated water, caramel color, phosphoric acid, potassium benzoate, potassium citrate, acesulfame potassium, aspartame and caffeine.
Now, if people opting for Diet Coke over Coke Zero, then, let me tell you that, both beverages use a combination of artificial sweeteners that is aspartame and acesulfame potassium. Coke Zero was initially promoted in some countries with sodium cyclamate as the primary sweetener, which is an inexpensive artificial agent ruled unsafe by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) over cancer issues and concerns since 1969. Consumer safety campaigns worked for its removal from Mexico in 2008 and from Venezuela in 2009. That version of Coke Zero has not accessed India, where food safety laws are considered much more lenient.
However, reports claimed that regular cokes and colas must be averted as people might suffer from any insulin-resistant disease such as obesity, hypertension, dyslipidemia, poly-cystic ovarian syndrome and diabetes which have got so much negative aspects. For such patients and health concerned people, diet colas are the best ever replacement. The important fact to remember is that both Diet Coke and Coke Zero are entire processed products and get packed with chemical preservatives and additives, the calories may be zero and so are the nutrients. It’s just the taste you get or you want to get but with no vitamins or minerals. However, it’s a real competition with similar factors and benefits. It is only a matter of personal taste, or may be the marketing and advertising campaigns that influence their choice. So, now it’s your choice to pick up the best one giving all that you need.
