How To Set Up A Car Stereo
Do you want to change or set up a best android car stereo system in your car? And you want to do it for free all by yourself. Well you are in luck, for this article will guide you through the whole process of installing stereo in the car in a simplifies version. You don’t need to be a car nut or very experienced to do this task. All you need to do is just grab a toolbox, know your tools and you are good to go. But first and the most important thing before you go around fiddling with wires like a pro is to put your car in a standstill mode by pulling up the parking break and them remove the negative cable from the car battery to avoid any short circuit hazard.
Steps to install:
- First remove the stereo that is already fixed in the car by patiently following all the steps needed and make sure to note the placement of wires as a reference while installing a new one.
- Now before setting up, you need to figure out the wires and matching them up with the car wires. For that make sure to read the instruction manual carefully.
- Time to connect these wires. Out of all the options of soldering, crimping or bundling choose the process with which you are most comfortable. For being on the safe side, use zip ties to bundle them up.
- You might have noticed that your system came with a mounting kit. Check the manual instructions and assemble it accordingly to avoid any hassle later on. Yes you need patience in an adequate amount.
- After successful mounting you need to figure out the power source of the car. the power source can be wired or wireless. For wired you need to connect the system harness to the power source harness of the car. on the other hand if your system is wireless it needs to be connected to the car manually. Depending on the need whether switched power source or constant power source you need to connect it as per the directions.
- Time to ground your stereo. The system will be automatically grounded when harness connection is made but if the system is wireless the steps are different. Try and locate bolt, wire or screw and loosen it, after that slip the ground wire (black) under it and then tighten it. If the ground wire doesn’t touch the metal properly it will result in poor sound quality. To avoid that check it properly or san it with sand paper for better results.
- Lastly plug the antenna cable and connect the wiring adapter of the stereo to the wire harness of the car. after connecting the remaining wires make sure to connect it to the output converter to make the system compatible with car’s audio system.
- Now test the stereo by switching it on and checking whether all the components work.
- Put it safely in the stereo compartment and fix it properly till you hear it click. After that put back all the pieces of dashboard you took out to fix the new stereo. Upon completing that you are done.
