After coming to the world, the baby builds a strong unique bond with the mother through her touch and of course, breast milk. 1. Gourd Family Veggies
Consuming loads of vegetables is extremely beneficial for improving the quantity and quality of breast milk. However, there are some gourd family veggies like bitter gourd and bottle gourd which are abundant in vitamins and minerals and are proven to increase breast milk naturally. Have them boiled with minimum spices and oil and consume it at least once a day to improve breast milk production.
2. Adequate Fatty Products
Fats are not always bad and when your body has gone through the difficult phase of delivery it needs good amount of fats for sustainable recovery. Include moderate amounts of clarified butter (ghee), butter and oil in your diet to increase your body’s energy and capability to produce more breast milk. 6. Basil
After delivery the body needs to be kept warm from inside, which is why new mothers are advised to have foods that provides the body with heat and energy to encourage better and faster recovery. Being loaded with vitamin K, basil leaves are one of the best foods for boosting breast milk production. You can either have them in raw form or with your tea and soups.

7. High Fibre Foods
Green vegetables and red coloured vegetables are rich in fibre content.
