How to Impress a Woman When You’re Recently Unemployed

Unemployment is a hot topic these days. 20 million people in the U.S. alone have filed for unemployment ever since businesses had to close for quarantine. Unemployment can come with a host of self-esteem issues, and I’ve definitely been seeing this among my friends. One of my friends even told me that he didn’t want to talk to girls anymore because he didn’t want to have to tell them he had lost his job. 

Well, enough’s enough. There is no need to stop talking to women. There are still ways to impress a woman when you’re recently unemployed. Plus, these days, she’s going to be more understanding than ever. Unemployment is exceedingly normal now, and there’s a pretty solid excuse for it. 

However, it doesn’t mean you’re completely off the hook. If you go on unemployment and start sitting around the house and moping, she’s going to be pretty damn turned off. She’s not going to be excited about your nudes request if she’s visualizing you eating potato chips on your couch. 

But what DOES she want from you? You’re unemployed, right? So what are you supposed to be doing?

Women don’t care if you’re unemployed right now. But they do care about how you’re dealing with it. Women love to see drive. They like to see adaptability and creativity. They want to see you seizing the opportunity to take the extra time on your hands and DO something with it. If they see you melting into the couch while you ask for nudes, they’re going to know that you don’t know how to deal with adversity AND that you feel entitled. This is definitely not the impression you want to make. 

So you need to show her that unemployment only makes you a better person. It fuels your drive, your creativity, and your masculinity. Do something every day to improve your life circumstances and set yourself up for success. Analyze your budget. Apply for jobs. Keep yourself fit.

When she sees that you are on top of things as best you can be, she’s going to be pretty intrigued. She’s going to see that you’re a man that can handle things.

But if you want to go the extra mile AND make your own life notably better, then start (or resume) a project. Having something to work on while you are unemployed will help to replace the purpose that has disappeared. It will make you happier. And, it will show women that you are not one to just make excuses to be lazy. 

So what should you do? Well, what interests you? Maybe you build a treehouse. Start brewing your own beer. Make a training plan for a half-marathon. Pick up the guitar that’s accumulating dust in your closet. Choose something constructive and creative, and it will add an attractive layer of intrigue to you as a person. 

There’s still more you can do. When you Facetime that sassy, sexy brunette you’ve been DMing with, what impression does she get from seeing your place? Are there dishes in the sink? Clutter in the living room? Low quality bedding? Dust on every surface? Are those things going to turn her on? If you’re unemployed and your place is a mess, she’s going to see the red flags and you’re not going to get a response to your nudes request.

Take pride in the space you live in. Do a declutter and a deep clean. Make your place feel inviting and comfortable. Seeing that you put care into your home is going to offset concerns she might have about you being unemployed. You need to do everything you can to show her that you are in control of your life and you care about your present and your future. She’s searching for these cues and if they’re not there, she’s going to give her attention to someone else who’s got more going on. 

When you’re in the unemployment boat, don’t resign yourself to sadness and depression, especially if you still want some attention from the opposite sex. You need to show that drive, tenacity, and self-esteem that earned you your job in the first place. Before you know it, you’ll be gainfully employed again with a lovely thing on your arm in no time.
