Emotions always get heavy on us and make our mind bound to over think and over react. Emotions are vital factor of our everyday life and are of different types, such as anger, sadness, happy, frustration, surprise, confusion and many more. Emotion is a blend of physical stimulation and cognition. Controlling your emotions is very much important to lead a well balanced and stable life which of course will help you to avoid negative situations. Controlling emotions means responding appropriately to your sudden change of emotion. 1. Recognize your emotions
Recognizing your emotions is very much essential to analyze it and get control over it. Figure out the causes of your emotions, what are the factors which specifically inducing particular emotion. Differentiate, compare know your emotions properly so that you would not be confused between emotions like frustration and disgust.

2. Know the reaction and response to your emotions
Figure out how you feel exactly while getting blown with the emotion. What are your thoughts? Your physical reaction? Keeping a track over your reaction and response will help you to control your emotions mentally.
3. Find the lowest or moderate rate of reaction
If you are too much annoyed, angry, or sad, depressed try to get minimal or moderate reaction to your emotional thoughts. Reacting too much to emotions could create worse situations and more troubles. This will help you to get full control over your emotions gradually.
4. Relax
Try to take deep breaths, make yourself relax and stress free. Avoid sudden reaction, as it could make your mind go blank. Better analyze the situation, your emotion and take a break to relax before reacting.

5. Do opposite to what you usually do
This is about avoiding the situation. You know what you usually do while getting controlled by your emotions, so try to do opposite. This will make you able to control your emotions.
6. Be optimistic
It is very important to stay positive. Being pessimist only will drag you into the negative thoughts and actions. So, change your perception and try to be more positive and show your reaction or response in more positive manner.

7. Don’t dwell on selfish core beliefs.
Try to think about others as being selfish will give rise to disturbing thoughts and negative emotions. Avoiding selfish beliefs will help you to react in a positive manner and to get things and emotions in control.
8. Avoid over cluster of emotions.
Balancing your emotions is very much needed. You have to clear your mind with every single emotional thoughts because over clustering your thoughts and emotions will make you lose control. This will increase the risk of negative thoughts and actions.
It is not that tough to control your emotions, all you need to do is analyzing it properly, recognizing it and avoiding negative thoughts. Many people fail to put these efforts and hence they give up getting controlled by their overloaded emotions. But once, you get the control over your emotions your life will be much easier and effortless. You will feel more empowered, happier, healthier and stress free.
