Hotel Vacation Must-Haves
Packing is one of the more stressful activities when you’re preparing for a trip somewhere! When you’re traveling to a new place, or you haven’t packed a suitcase in a while, it can feel like a major dilemma. Plenty of trips last three (3) days at least, but some may go beyond one (1) week. If they’re lucky enough, some have opportunities to stay there for a month.
Regardless of trip length, what you pack and how you pack remain quite important. In cases of extended stay, those may require a unique level of planning and preparation. You may be going on a long trip, but nevertheless, you need to prepare well.
Clothes
Extended and sometimes short trips may have you seeing and experiencing a wide range of weather, from hot to cloudy, then to rainy. During times like these, it’s better to be more preemptive. A good rule of thumb to follow is to prepare for anything that might happen. Even if you may head to a cold climate, a warmer excursion, like a spa day, still needs preparation.
Conversely, cold-weather clothing will be needed even in warmer climates because of the change of environment you’ll move through. If you are an indoor person aiming for a staycation, you may find the AC blasting, so you’ll need something to keep you warm. Once the sun goes down, you may also learn that several environments significantly change temperature.
You will also need to prepare for the rain. If you’re caught in a storm, it can severely hurt and damage your plans and travel itinerary. However, you can keep moving ahead with the right gear and preparation.

Toiletries
Toiletries are another essential you need to have. The toiletries you must bring should include the basics and account for grooming that you cannot do on a shorter trip. If you will be away on your trip for a week, you can get away without having tweezers or nail clippers. If you’ve decided to be away from home for longer, you must bring over your regular grooming and maintenance.
For extended stays, you need full-size products, like soap and toothpaste. Some packaging for toiletries can be bulky, so you need to be organized and pack your toiletries in tight containers or inside a Zip-Loc to retain moisture.
Sunscreen
Next up, you’ve got sunscreen! Sunscreen is crucial, regardless of whatever climate you’re going to. Not only does sunscreen protect your skin from UV rays, but it also helps your skin retain its moisture barrier and heal acne marks and scars. Other benefits sunscreen has its sleeve include preventing sunburn and lowering the risk of skin cancer.
If you’re out on a beach trip, then you may need a higher level of sun protection! Some formulations are designed to be worn for beach trips. For your sunscreen dosage, especially in extremely hot weather and if you will be overtime out, two fingers’ worth of sunscreen. SPF 30 PA up is recommended for the sunscreen strength.
Towels
Lastly, towels are here to help you dry your hair and body with water. They’re crucial.
Wrapping Up
Now that here are the things you’re bringing, take note of them! If you have them, you’re all good!
