There are a lot of ways to spend some quality time with your family but the most fun way is to have a family night while playing interesting games. It helps both the parents and children to make the most of it while having loads and loads of fun.
There are many popular board games such as dart board, clue, beat the parents, monopoly, scrabble, 5-second rule and trivial pursuit.
1. Dartboard game
There is a board fitted to a wall or pillar at a distance and it consists of three inner circles including a bull’s eye. Every person will throw little missiles called darts to earn points. As an indoor board game, it helps to focus and increase concentration as one has to aim to win this game. Basically originated in England, this is game has become very popular across the worlds.
2. Clue
This is board game is very interesting with different characters. It is played by dealing with all the cards while narrowing down the suspects and picking up the clues to solve the puzzle. There are different cards such as the suspect card, weapon card, and room card. Each of these cards from the three categories is kept in a secret envelope and each player is expected to deal with the cards to find out the suspect in turns until all the cards are dealt.
3. Beat the parents
This is a fun game basically testing the knowledge of both the parents and children. It has more than 100 questions including parent wild cards and kid wild cards. Parents are asked that an average kid can answer and kids will be asked the questions that they never even heard of. The fun part is the use of wildcards because they might be the game changer. 4. Monopoly
This is basically a business model which uses fake money to buy and sell houses, hotels, and property. There is a banker who keeps an eye on you at all times. Certain rules have to be followed while playing this game. A player can end up in jail or has to skip turns or has to pay money to the bank. It helps to learn about taxation and how to capitalize income for the kids as this game teaches them the basic economics. There are different version of this game and also levels to make it easy for the kids to understand the game, so they can enjoy playing it. Parents can teach their children as it helps them to bond with each other.
5. Scrabble
This a board game that puts you English knowledge to test. There is a square board with tiles so the player can place the letters to form a word which will earn those points. There can be four players with no less than two. There are hints to form a word. The more complex the word the more points on can get. The tiles are marked with points depending on the usage. The player can arrange the tiles to form a word both horizontally and vertically. This is a very good game to use your language skills.
6. 5-second rule
This is a very simple game with a time limit. The player gets to pick a card and after that, they have to come up with three words relevant to the topic on the picked card within 5 seconds. This game is all about using your wit and spontaneity as time is your enemy. This is really fun coming up with different words in no time can fill the environment with laughter as the player blurts out whatever comes to their minds first without thinking.
7. Trivial pursuit
There are 6 different colors of pie pieces and the board is round with rows starting from the center of the board. There are can be 6 players and at least two required to start the game. Each player throws the dice in turns and has to answer the question if answered correctly the player can roll the dice again. All the questions are based on general knowledge and every time your pie lands on a wedge space you can have it by answering the question correctly. Any player who collects 6 wedge spaces of the wins the game.
