Water 2005 film by Deepa Mehta which faced a lot of controversy because of its dark insights on the life of an Indian widow. Filmed in an Ashram of Varanasi, the script of the movie was written by Anurag Kashyap and garnered controversial issues like ostracism and misogyny which were catalyst for Indian Censor Board which got banned of course.
