If you’re an IT employee or an employee with desk job, spending your maximum time sitting all day staring at your computer, then you must be familiar with “sitting diseases” fear and concern. Trust me I spend 6-7 hours sitting all day writing and writing and the toll it takes on my health is too perturbing. However, to minimize the adverse effect of sitting on my health, I avoid sitting in one-go for a prolonged time, hence I keep taking gaps completing my other household errands in between, to reduce the exhaustion. Sitting diseases such as bad posture, backbone aches, spondylitis, protrude belly, risk of diabetes, heart diseases, blood pressure and obesity are some common concerns and complaints claimed by desk job employees in last 3 decades. Hence, in this new era of technology, to beat the disadvantages of prolonged sitting, standing desks have been quite popular in the market for it’s significant benefits and comfort.
Standing desk is also known as stand-up desk which is basically an adjustable desk that allows comfortable standing while working. It is a modern version of conventional desks, having adjustable levers to change the height of the desk according to your height and need between standing and sitting. These standing desks are also referred as sit-stand desks by manufacturers and sellers. These desks are great in terms of comfort and productivity. However, researches have been going on to manifest the significant benefits of standing desks. Here are some of the user advantages of standing desks over conventional ones:
