5 Conspiracies Theories That Still Intrigues Up To This Present Day
There are plenty of already existing conspiracy theories ranging from secretive plans of the government to the very detailed plots of murder. Conspiracy theories deny any consensus made, or they are tough to prove despite the use of any scientific method. Here are five examples of conspiracy theories that are still unproven and continue to boggle our minds.
1. The Assassination of John F. Kennedy
The only things that are specified for the assassination of President John F. Kennedy is; that it occurred on the 22nd of November in the year 1963, he was shot with two bullets – one through his neck and the other through his head – in a convertible limo driving through Dealey Plaza, Dallas and that Lee Harvey Oswald was the one responsible for the act.
According to the ABC News Poll done in 2003, there are roughly 70% of Americans that believe that JFK’s death was executed for a much larger plan. The bullet trajectories were said to not align with the perch that Oswald was found thus, suggesting a second gunman that was included. Whilst 30% believed that the act was done by Oswald independently.
2. The Cover-Up of the 9/11 incident
Alongside the assassination of JFK, another tragedy that was etched into everyone’s memories was the attacks on the twin towers of the World Trade Center on the 11th of September, 2001. Two planes were “hijacked” by the Terrorist group Al-Qaeda, while one crashed into the 80th floor, the other clipped the south tower’s 60th floor 18 minutes after.
A Zogby Poll done in May 2006 said that 42% of the American populace believes that the government “hid or declined the investigation of evidence that went against their official explanation. Though there is no solid evidence linking the government’s involvement in the attacks, it doesn’t stop people from developing more conspiracy theories.
3. Area 51 and Aliens
“Area 51” is a secretive US Military base and facility. Due to this place being overcast in mystery for many years, it has driven the wild imagination of conspiracy theorists, to make everyone think that extraterrestrial beings(or Aliens) exist. One specific example of these theories is that the base is used for the research crashed alien spaceships.
Area 51 is located towards the south of the state of Nevada, and its primary purpose is a testing and training range for the American air force, despite that, its secrecy still inspired many conspiracy theorists thus becoming a hot topic among them.
4. The Clones of Celebrities
Many of our beloved Oscar-winning actors and grammy-winning singers could not be the ones who we think they are. Because of the sudden personality changes, similarities of voices, or just striking similarities in their appearance, many people believe that the current celebrities are only clones made to reduce the suspicions of many.
A couple of examples of these celebrities would be; “Miley Cyrus” with her sudden change from a Disney star to a provocative performer, there’s also a video online that shows Miley Cyrus as a humanoid reptilian because of her unusual shaped pupils and sideways blinking. “Avril Lavigne” with her different body marks, altered nose shape, and face.
5. Fake Moon Landings
Though it has been quite a while(four decades) since the first man on the moon, Neil Armstrong made his mark with his giant leap for mankind, and many still doubt the fact that this has actually happened. Some say that Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were hired to act out ‘their mission’ in a secret set said to be located somewhere secluded in Area 51.
What sparked this theory? Well, seen in a short video of Buzz Aldrin planting the American flag on the moon, it was shown to have movement – which is impossible because space is a vacuum, so the presence of wind is unlikely. Though still a small number of people, 6% of Americans say, the moon landings were fake, according to a poll done by Gallup in 1999.
Takeaway
It is all in your choice whether you believe in them or not. Some people use these conspiracies as fuel for their boredom, but there are plenty of conspiracies that provide solid evidence for their statements. Want to read more?
